Today, I would like to share with you guys 3 important things that you should know if you have a plan to become an entrepreneur.
1. Focus on your passion
I read many books and watched many videos on Youtube about the topic “HOW TO BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR”. And then, I figured out that most of the advice has the similar point – PASSION. So, the first thing you should consider when you want to start your business is that you have to pay your attention to what you love. Why? Because once you find what you actually love to do, you can spend most of your time digging into it. The most visible examples of this are Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Warren Buffett, Mark Zuckerberg, and so on. All of them are the people who started their business by doing what they are passionate about. In my view, your passion drives everything including your business. Therefore, you have to define who you are and what you love to do once you want to start your business.
Once you have figured out your passion, you need to give yourself permission to do what you love. Most people defend themselves by staying in their 9-5 jobs even though they want to start their own business. The reason for that is they are afraid of taking risks when they leave their stable jobs in order to start their own business by doing what love. It means they do not give themselves permission to follow their passion. Therefore, they cannot take the huge opportunity and waste it when it comes. In regard to this, I do not mean that you have to leave your jobs to start your own business, but giving yourself permission to do what you love and leave what you hate. If you do not allow yourself to do what you want to do, I guarantee that you will regret when you are in your 60s.
As Linda Rottenberg wrote in her book “CRAZY IS A COMPLIMENT”, entrepreneurship begins with psyching yourself up instead of psyching yourself out. And the formula for this: heart + mind – fear = entrepreneur.
3. Start doing, stop thinking
Many people want to start their own business but they consider too much about the people around them saying. They are overthinking and planning too much about what they should do. They are wasting their time doing that stuff but they do not start doing. They do not give themselves permission to start doing due to the fear of taking risks. THEY THINK TOO MUCH! Let me tell you the secret is that the successful entrepreneurs are people who try and try. “If you want to try it, just try it, if something goes wrong, just come back.” – Jack Ma, the co-founder and executive chairman of Alibaba Group. It is obvious that there is no reward without some risks. Therefore, if you want to become an entrepreneur, you should start doing and allow yourself to take smart risks instead of analyzing and trying to estimate the perfect situation.
I get all the ideas above from:
